Making a Better World
Hey, folks! So this month I’ve got some stuff to help you a bit if you’re with me in making this world a better place. Things like I recently read about schoolchildren up in Poland (Maine, that is) getting together and harvesting baby fish. Now if the whole world could do things like this…
The first thing that came to mind when I thought about ways to help the world is vote Democrat. But then I realize I probably don’t have to tell you that, do I? For the love of Jesus, vote with your fucking brain!
Also, plant a tree. Do you know studies have been done that proved trees around your home have been linked to tranquility? And if you don’t care for trees, plant a garden. I know you can see all the benefits of that. And if you already got one, plant another!
If riding at all, ride a bicycle, because global warming is real and methane is our enemy! Can’t or won’t ride the bike? No prob — public transportation. And while you’re at it, ask your local city councilor why California has plenty of electric busses and we don’t. And you might ask your councilor why they have more strict rules for car exhaust than us.
Please take a good look at the world and show me where in the world you see peace, no starvation, no one up in arms about one thing or another. Well, you might point to our friends to the north, Canada, but don’t they got problems like we do?
Anyways, here’s what I’m getting at: men have fucked up the world, and I say women take over. And not just Kamala — look at the smaller folks, starting with city council on up.
Speaking of women, this election is all about abortion. Why can’t they get a scrip for birth control pills? Sorry, but being an old-timer I’ve lost track of things. Except for Western shows.
I just said sayonara to Spectrum; saved me 450 bucks. I’m watching an old episode of Waltons, set circa late ’30s, and they are so happy to find coal! No mention at all of the bad aspect of digging coal, and now we know only too well. Of course, someone had to know bad coal dust hurts you. But it seems things went merrily along regardless.
You know, so many good things happen if you become vegetarian. I’m trying to go just white meat. I did it before, but I was robbing markets in them days. It was a lot easier. Then I hit the back roads of Texas. All the stores down there have an open pit barbecue in the backyard. I’ll let you know right now, mister: it’s about impossible to stay vegan in Texas. Talk about spare ribs…
Anybody reading this hunt? Well, if you do, please don’t use lead bullets. Lead is harmful, even if you miss. They just painted up my apartment to cover the lead. I guess my landlord went by the rules, but I can just imagine how many didn’t.
I just caught the TV ad, the one that sells coins — you know what I mean — and even they have depicted Trump with a scowl on his face. Maybe it’s ’cause so many Republicans are rooting for Ms. Harris. But that’s not helping you.
Why is it other countries behave so badly? I guess it’s an unanswerable question, huh? I’d sacrifice my life to have world peace, and I’m betting there are other folks like me.
Well, hopefully Kamala will solve this huge problem. I repeat: only women can solve these problems. She’s a DA, huh? I became friends with a DA a while ago, Joe Brennan. He was a real nice guy. That was long ago when he lived on the Hill and somebody shot up his house and almost hit his baby daughter. He decided he didn’t like assault weapons after that.
Sorry to keep echoing the same stuff, but it’s the election, the biggest election of all. If you could only read the mag I got, from Earth Justice. Trump has done so much to destroy this planet, no consideration at all, and he’s got kids! He wants power and money so bad he’s willing to say, “Fuck my kids. Greed is good.” I don’t know what people are thinking. I can’t go on anymore.
Next month you won’t read a thing from me, unless it’s me bitching I’m getting spammed to pieces. Now let me clue you in as to our next battle. It’s plastic. Or more precisely, getting rid of it. Got a solution? The world would love to hear it, especially the Nobel Prize folks, who will probably give you one.
I have not made things a lot easier, but I do think Bollard readers are intelligent enough to pick up the ball and take it from here.
