particle-fever

Tuesday, April 29

You don’t have to be a geek to appreciate what’s happening at the Large Hadron Collider, though it helps. Luckily, the cool people like you and me can watch Particle Fever, a fascinating documentary about the particle accelerator and the scientists who are using it to help understand the nature of matter and the universe. It’s at SPACE Gallery (538 Congress St., Portland) at 7:30 p.m., and followed by a live video chat with producer and theoretical particle-physics professor David Kaplan. Tix: $8. 828-5600. space538.org.
