Hot on the heels of Searching for Sugar Man comes another great rock-doc about a visionary but long-forgotten act improbably resurrected and finally given some of its due. A Band Called Death tells the tale of the proto-punk black power trio whose stardom was frustrated by, among other things, their unpalatable name. It screens at SPACE Gallery (538 Congress St., Portland) at 7:30 p.m. Tix: $8 (all ages). 828-5600. space538.org.
