Cast Aside Productions turns the Portland Ballet Studio Theater (517 Forest Ave.) into a 1930s, Bauhaus-style Berlin nightclub for its production of Cabaret, the musical about an American’s experience of German nightlife during the rise of Nazism. They’re also presenting a series of vaudeville-style burlesque and drag shows titled Live From the Kit Kat Club after shows and on other nights during the musical’s run, which begins tonight at 8 p.m. (cocktails at 6 p.m.; BYOB) and continues through Aug. 31.
