The 2018 Maine Hip-Hop Summit happens today beginning at noon at Oxbow Blending & Bottling (49 Washington Ave., Portland). Hosted by local rap luminary Ben Shorr, it features break-dancers, live graffiti art and, of course, plenty of beats and rhymes. Free and all ages. The metal stars align tonight at Geno’s (625 Congress St., Portland), where sludge lords Pigboat play a gig with local stoner-rock legends Ogre and the astounding lounge-core act Johnny Cremains at 9 p.m. Tix: $8 (21+). 221-2382.
