Two excellent exhibitions open this month at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (21 Winter St., Rockland) and have public receptions this evening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: KJ Shows: Portrait of an Artist, oil paintings by the Kennebunk resident of footwear worn by famous artists, and John Moore: Resonance, a decade-spanning survey of the Belfast painter’s photorealist work.
