The brutal, sludgy, yet melodic California post-whatever trio BlackPlate is coming through town, and a musical pal of theirs in Portland has put together a killer show with local rockers Cushing, Wesley Harley’s new honky-rock combo B.B.Q., and the intriguingly named Roy Orbitussin at 111A Anderson St. in Portland. Suggested donation: $5 (all ages). And over at Portland House of Music (25 Temple St.), it’s a soulful reunion as singer Lyle Divinsky returns for a show with funk all-stars Model Airplane at 9 p.m. Tix: $15-$18 (21+). 805-0134. portlandhouseofmusic.com.
