Mad Horse Theatre Company kicks off its 31st season with The Totalitarians, a 2014 satire about a narcissistic and vacuous celebrity-turned-politician who comes dangerously close to wielding real power (sound familiar?). It opened late last month and runs through Oct. 16. Today’s 2 p.m. performance at Hutchins School (24 Mosher St., South Portland) will be followed by a “talkback” session with the director and actors.
