Noam Pikelny, a founding member of The Punch Brothers and winner of the first Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass, in 2010, is one of the preeminent pickers of his generation. His new album, Noam Pikelny Plays Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe, reinterprets fiddler Baker’s interpretation of Monroe’s songs.
