Renowned Maine art collector and curator Bruce Brown shares 66 works from his stash — including pictures by Brenton Hamilton, Scott Peterman, Jocelyn Lee, and Rose Marasco — in Pairings: Selections from the Bruce Brown Photography Collection, a show organized by the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and split between two venues: the Dowling Walsh Gallery (365 Main St., Rockland) and the University of Maine Museum of Art (40 Harlow St., Bangor). It opened last month and continues through Dec. 19 in Rockland and Dec. 31 at the UMMA; both open today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and free. cmcanow.org.
