Me, Mona, and Mao brings three iconic works of art — or versions thereof — together in a bid to spark critical thinking about the value of original art and the artistic tradition of copying. Andy Warhol’s famous pop-art portrait “Mao” shares space with a copy of the Mona Lisa and Maine artist Aaron T Stephan’s “Girl With a Pearl Earring — Tangled in Process,” a postmodern take on Vermeer’s masterpiece. The exhibit opened last month at the Portland Museum of Art (7 Congress Square) and continues through Feb. 21. Open today 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tix: $12 ($10 seniors and students). 775-6148. portlandmuseum.org.
