Tonight’s the night! The big anniversary party you’ve all been waiting for! A chance to raise a toast to a great Portland institution! Pizza Villa (940 Congress St.) is celebrating a half century in business (plus the Pats’ season kick-off)! There’ll be giveaways and good cheer and the genuinely friendly neighborhood bar/pizza joint atmosphere we’ve grown to treasure about this place. We’d be there ourselves were it not for the fact this publication is having its 10th anniversary party at Portland House of Music (25 Temple St.) from 5 p.m. till closing time, with music by jazz/funk trio Micromasse at 5 p.m. and indie-rockers Endless Jags around 9 p.m. Our party’s free, too.
