Now that the Halperts’ run of screening great indie films at the Portland Museum of Art has apparently come to an end, buffs must look elsewhere for this kind of fare. Like the Strand Theatre in Rockland (345 Main St.), which is showing Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), a black comedy starring Michael Keaton as a washed-up Hollywood action star who attempts a comeback on Broadway, this month through Dec. 10; today at 5:30 p.m. Tix: $8.50 ($7.50 seniors). 594-0070. rocklandstrand.com.
