Magical Universe is a documentary about Al Carbee — an eccentric and reclusive Maine artist who makes elaborate dioramas populated by Barbie dolls, fevered drawings and collage, and oddball home movies — and the friendship Carbee forms with Jeremy Workman, the New York filmmaker who made this movie.
