Portland author Michael Paternini delivers a Brown Bag Lecture about his new work of literary nonfiction, The Telling Room, at the Portland Public Library at noon. Subtitled A Tale of Love, Betrayal, Revenge, and the World’s Greatest Piece of Cheese, the book introduces us to the Spanish village of Guzmán and its villagers, who’ve gathered for centuries in a tiny room to swap stories and secrets and drink too much wine.
