The artistic couple Kate Russo and Tom Butler have a rare joint show of their work, Nervous Energy, on view most of this month at Engine (265 Main St., Biddeford). Russo’s colorful, rhythmic, often intricate designs hangs in interesting contrast to her partner’s work, in which the faces of old-timey portraits are painted over with odd masks, hoods and hair styles.
