Pianist Martin Perry joins the PSO to perform Barber’s Piano Concerto tonight.

Portland has historically been home to many Armenian immigrants, so it’s apropos that the Portland Symphony Orchestra performs the most famous work of Armenian-American composer Alan Hovhaness, the mighty “Mysterious Mountain,” as part of a program, titled “Enigma Variations,” that also includes Samuel Barber’s Piano Concerto and Edward Elgar’s eponymous work.
