It’s like the older pusher tells the newbie dealer in those dopey old anti-drug PSAs: “The first one’s free, then you start chargin’.” (Hey, where was my free one?) You can get your kid (or inner-kid) hooked on comics instead during Free Comic Book Day, celebrated in the Portland area at Coast City Comics (634 Congress St.) and Casablanca Comics (151 Middle St., Portland, and 778 Roosevelt Trail, Windham). There’ll be a costume contest at Coast City, sketch artists at Casablanca, and appearances by superheroes like Batman and Green Lantern at all three stores.
