Written by Martin Stellman (Quadrophenia), shot by Killing Fields cinematographer Chris Menges, and banned from a famous film fest in 1980 for its incendiary anti-racism, Babylon is about a Jamaican dancehall DJ (played by Brinsley Forde of the great British reggae band Aswad) navigating the mean streets of South London.
