The documentary Beuys takes a deep, yet accessible, dive into the life and ideas of the provocative German performance artist and theorist Joseph Beuys, whose socially and politically conscious work erased and redrew the boundaries between life and art. It shows at the Portland Museum of Art (7 Congress Square) Feb. 2 through today’s 2 p.m. screening. Tix: $8 (not rated). 775-6148. portlandmuseum.org.
