The New England Art Book Fair takes place today (at 5 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.) at SPACE Gallery (538 Congress St., Portland). Artists, authors, dealers and indie publishers will be on hand to sell and discuss a wide variety of unconventional books, magazines, catalogues and other printed materials, and an exhibition by Leslie Mutchler and Jason Urban, titled Babel Unbound, will also be on view. Mason Gurley presents “A Bridge Across Forever: In Conversation With Stanley,” an experimental musical suite that features taped recordings of a white wise man dropping wisdom.
