The sleeper-hit art show of the summer is hanging at the Union of Maine Visual Artists Gallery inside the Community Television Network’s Portland HQ (516 Congress St.). Branching Out, curated by eminent collector and curator Bruce Brown, presents 54 images by nearly 40 Maine photographers, including Dave Wade, Diane Hudson, Tonee Harbert, Jay York, Shoshannah White and Brown himself. It opens July 7 (reception from 5 to 8 p.m.) and continues through Aug. 27. umvaonline.org.
