The keyboardist Ahmad Hassan Muhammad, a member of the out-jazz outfit Jaw Gems, performs solo as Kafari and releases an album tonight at Blue (650 Congress St., Portland), with saxman Henry Redman, at 8 p.m. Word is the new record features samples from the Bill Evans Trio, and the live show will have loops, “rhythm bones,” and reverb aplenty.
