Everyone loves to catch a cool show at the local bar on a Saturday night — except those too old to stay up that late or too young to get in. The good folks at SPACE Gallery (538 Congress St., Portland) have figured out a way around this: a new series of all-ages shows that start at the civilized hour of 4 p.m. This month’s featured artists are the slowcore psych-folk group Plains and indie world music guru Tom Kovacevic, who sings and plays oud and other traditional instruments on his original songs.
