tigerman-woah

Saturday, November 22

Tiger Man Woah, a raucous, drunken, rockin’ roots foursome out of Lynn, Mass., tore it up last summer at the Noshbow festival and during (more or less) memorable shows at The Thirsty Pig. Now they bring their hell-raisin’ songs to Empire (575 Congress St., Portland) for a 10 p.m. gig with openers The Silks and a third act to be announced. Tix: $6 (21+). 747-5063. portlandempire.com. And across the street at SPACE Gallery (538 Congress), astounding guitarist Nels Cline and his latest collaborator, jazz-guitar phenom Julian Lage, improvise and perform compositions from their new album, Room, at 8:30 p.m. Tix: $15-$18 (all ages). 828-5600. space538.org.
