The indie-folk duo Snaex, comprised of Chriss Sutherland (Olas, Fire on Fire, Cerberus Shoal) and Christopher Teret (Company), have a very fine new album, The 10,000 Things, and they’re playing a release party for it with longtime Sutherland cohort Tom Kovacevic opening at Pistol Pete’s Upholstery Shop (219 Anderson St., Portland) at 8:30 p.m. Suggested donation: $10 (benefits The Children’s Nursery School). 671-7792.
