Tuesday, April 15

The seminal Louisville indie-rock band Slint confounded listeners two-and-a-half decades ago with their muddy mix of progressive punk noise, but the enlightened heads of the day recognized the sound of the future. In his new documentary about the band, Breadcrumb Trail, filmmaker Lance Bangs weaves band interviews and footage he shot of their early ’90s shows with commentary by the likes of Steve Albini, David Yow and Ian MacKaye. It’s at SPACE Gallery (538 Congress St., Portland) at 7:30 p.m. Tix: $8 (all ages). 828-5600. space538.org.
