Chief Oren Lyons wears many hats — author, illustrator, professor, lacrosse star, Faithkeeper of the Turtle Clan — but it’s the Native American leader’s role as an environmental activist that brings him to Bates College to deliver a talk titled “Peace, Power, Righteousness: Environmental Stewardship From a Native Perspective,” at the Peter J. Gomes Chapel (275 College St., Lewiston) at 7 p.m. Free. 786-6031. bates.edu.
