Monday, March 11

Rachel McKibbens lives the typical star slam poet life: teaching poetry in slums and colleges between appearances on HBO, rubbing shoulders with people like Kanye West and Eve Ensler, killing it on the mic at a tiny beer joint on Munjoy Hill. You heard right: she’s at Mama’s CrowBar (189 Congress St.) for an intimate (read: in-your-face) performance at 9 p.m. Tix: $10 (21+). She’ll also be hanging out in the Old Port for a workshop and another performance tomorrow night at Bull Feeney’s. Details at portveritas.com. 357-7678.
